I always suspected that attending a Paul McCartney concert had to be an amazing experience, but any given epithet falls short once you have checked off that bucket-list item. Despite being an 82-year-old guy, Paul displays tons of on-stage energy through his music, reinforced by the chanting crowd (including me) for about 150 minutes.
The setlist was ok, mixing hits from a lifetime of music: The Beatles, Wings, and Paul’s solo career (despite a few songs that I did not know, my fault). Regarding Wings' songs, I missed only one: Listen to what The Man said, but I can forgive this little omission, considering that Paul and his great band played Jet, Junior’s farm, Let ’em in and, of course, Band on the run.
The funny thing was that, at the end of the concert, Paul said “hasta pronto,” so I conclude he is not thinking about retirement. Indeed, he came from outer space!
